When Water Comes Closer, Opportunity Begins for Women
With safe water nearby, the Maasai Mammas gain something they have never had before—time.
Time that was once spent walking long distances can now be used to create, learn, and earn. The Jewellery Project builds on traditional beadwork skills, turning them into a pathway for income, independence, and opportunity.

Beadwork has always been part of Maasai culture. It is a skill passed down through generations—rich in meaning, identity, and craftsmanship.
This project does not introduce something new—it strengthens what already exists, turning traditional knowledge into a sustainable source of income.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR The maasai FAMILIES
Even a modest income can make a meaningful difference. It allows families to plan ahead, support their children, and reduce daily financial stress.
When women earn, the benefits extend beyond the individual—strengthening the entire household. It can mean school fees are paid, food is more secure, and children have greater opportunities for the future.
Over time, this helps create more stable families, stronger communities, and opportunities that can be carried forward to the next generation.
Each Piece Carries a Story
Every piece is handmade using traditional techniques. Each bracelet, necklace,or design reflects culture, care, and the hands that created it. When you wear it, you carry that story with you.
