When Water Comes Closer, Opportunity Begins for Women

With safe water nearby, the Maasai Mammas gain something they have never had before—time.
Time that was once spent walking long distances can now be used to create, learn, and earn. The Jewellery Project builds on traditional beadwork skills, turning them into a pathway for income, independence, and opportunity.

Beadwork has always been part of Maasai culture. It is a skill passed down through generations—rich in meaning, identity, and craftsmanship.
This project does not introduce something new—it strengthens what already exists, turning traditional knowledge into a sustainable source of income.
